Radio Postbag
Each year on the radio we would receive letters from grateful patients. Whilst carrying out ward rounds there is always the comments received in person. It's the letters received at a later date which have an impact on the volunteers, as it gives a real boost to their morale.
This page carries some letters which dropped through our letterbox in 1993.

Feedback ( Post bag )10th July
A letter of thanks has been received 10/7, Joe Boyton a former patient on ward 5 writes:-
To the disc jockeys of Radio Heatherwood. I did enjoy your programs very much, not so much that I won one of your mugs, but because you do a good job, you seem to keep in touch with what the patients want, and I liked the fact that the disc jocks came and took the requests and compiled the program around them, and one thing I liked above all was the fact that while listening to the program, one could put a face to the disc jockey.
Oh by the way can the young lady pronounce “ Klaus Wunderlich the organist ”.
Thanks for playing a few of my requests, I am sending a small donation.(£15 received).
