1988 Fete Day

Annual Fete

The annual fete this year; was once again organized by the league of friends and was an opportunity for the radio station to broadcast the event to the patients via the medium wave, as well as provide PA services on the field.

This year two presenters from the radio Tony Horder and Viv Lewis dressed up as Sylvester and Tweety pie and mingled with the visitors on the field offering photo opportunities and sweets to the small children.

Former news reader Kenneth Kendall was the opener and spent time visiting the stalls.

Radio Heatherwood broadcast programs from the studio from 9.30 in the morning at 11.50 the programs switched to the field and music and speeches etc were relayed live from the fete until 15.30.
